Cattaraugus Community Action on behalf of Wyoming County Community Action and Wyoming County, is soliciting bids for housing repairs at four (4) farms located throughout Wyoming County. The work entailed will include, but not be limited to, roofing, electric, windows, flooring, plumbing, doors, interior and exterior repairs.
Any contractors interested in bidding these projects may contact Jeff Hampshire, Programs Manager for Housing Rehabilitation at Cattaraugus Community Action, jhampshire@ccaction.org, 716-801-0490 to request PDF copies of specifications. Contractors must carry a minimum of one million dollars liability insurance, and NYS compensation and disability insurance. Potential contract awardees will also be required to provide appropriate references for review.
Contracts will not be awarded until release of funds has been given by NYS OCR to Wyoming County, contracts will be awarded to lowest responsible bidder, NOTE* several structures were constructed prior to January 1st, 1978 and will require lead based paint risk assessments to test for the presence of deteriorated lead based paint and or dust, testing will be done after services have been procured, additional work will be added to contract as a change order. CONTRACTORS MUST HAVE LEAD BASED PAINT TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION TO PERFORM LEAD HAZARD CONTROL MEASURES, after work is completed clearance testing will be performed to ensure work was done using appropriate lead safe measures and no lead dust hazards remain, and all deteriorated lead based paint was properly remediated. The first clearance test is covered by grant funds, if the contractor fails testing, the contractor is responsible for all subsequent testing fees until work passes clearance.
