Cattaraugus Community Action is soliciting bids for lead-based paint testing for a CDBG grant awarded to Wyoming County (Wyoming County Community Action is the sub-recipient administering the grant on behalf of Wyoming County, CCA is providing construction management). The purpose of this grant to make necessary repairs to farm workers housing units.
These projects entail housing rehab for 4 units within Wyoming County at farms that have been qualified for eligibility, and project specifications have been generated, and have been put out to bid, construction is expected to start within approximately one month depending on certain steps still required in the process.
The lead-based paint testing firm will be contacted to perform a risk assessment and testing of painted surfaces with an XRF and any other sampling required. After testing the firm will be responsible to provide a report to CCA and WYCCA as per EPA regulations and format showing all testing data and results. Testing firm will also bid for and perform clearance testing when projects are complete as per EPA and HUD regulations and provide CCA and WYCCA with clearance test report as per EPA and HUD regulations.
Bidding Firms are required to carry liability insurance as well as workers compensation insurance, and any professional insurance required by EPA, HUD, and or New York State. Please provide copies of all EPA and New York state licenses and accreditations with bid.
Bids are to be returned to Jeff Hampshire via email (PDF preferred) with Wyoming County CDBG #1279CVHR99-22 - Farmworker Housing LBP TESTING BID in subject line. Bids are due by May 29th,2023. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder for all 4 projects.
